报告摘要:I will talk about the large scale homogenization of a front propagation model where the front moves in the normal direction, and the speed is prescribed by the space-time environment and is highly oscillatory. As the space-time scale of variations in the environment goes to zero, the question of homogenization aims at finding the effective front propagation rule that is homogeneous and captures the large scale behavior of the moving fronts. Under the assumption that the environment is periodic in space and stationary ergodic in time, or periodic in time but stationary ergodic in space, we establish such results through the homogenization of level-set Hamilton-Jacobi equations in dynamic random environments. The talk is based on joint work with P.E. Souganidis and H.V. Tran.
