报告摘要:The Stokes-Darcy system describes the free flow of a liquid by the Stokes equation and the confined flow in a porous media by the Darcy equation, in which the two flows are coupled through interface conditions. This model arises in many applications such as surface water flows, subsurface oil, groundwater flows in karst aquifers, and flows in a vuggy porous media.

 

   In this talk, I will talk about well-posedness of the Stokes-Darcy problem with Beaver Joseph interface condition. Then I will present a few novel parallel domain decomposition algorithms, some of which are robust for "bad" physical parameters.
