报告1：International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA)

摘要：This seminar will start with a historical overview of the work of IEA, and then current IEA studies will be introduced.  The IEA study design, including some technical issues on educational measurement, will then be discussed.  Results of some past IEA studies will then be presented, illustrated with some test items.  The seminar will end by introducing an upcoming IEA project.

主讲嘉宾简介：Dirk Hastedt现任IEA总干事（Executive Director）。在此之前，自2001年起Dirk Hastedt任IEA数据处理和研究中心（DPC）主任。

报告2：Methodological issues in TIMSS

摘要：In this presentation, Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) will be used as an example to explore into different methodological issues involving international studies.  Five methodological issues will be discussed:  (1) What are we comparing?  (2) Who are we comparing?  (3) How do we compare?  (4) How do we analyze the data? (5) How do we ensure the quality of the data?  The presentation will end by stressing the importance of attending to methodological issues in educational research beyond large scale international studies.

主讲嘉宾简介：梁贯成，香港大学教育学院教授。弗兰登塔尔奖首位华人得主，当选2015年世界杰出华人。长期负责香港地区的TIMSS测试和研究工作。

IEA简介：
 IEA（国际教育成就评价协会）。建立于20世纪50年代末。总部设在瑞典，有70多个国家和地区参加。主要职能：组织全球性的跨国家、跨地区的教育研究合作，利用现代化的调查和科学研究技术，在国际范围内开展各类教育项目的评价研究和比较研究。
国内比较熟悉的IEA研究项目包括：ICILS(计算机与信息素养), TIMSS(数学与科学素养),PIRLS(阅读素养),ICCS(公民教育)和TEDS-M(数学师范教育)。
