Title: Topics in Mathematical Fluid Mechanics
Abstract: This lecture series covers several research topics in mathematical fluid mechanics. The first one is on the stability and large-time behavior problem on the Oldroyd-B model for the viscoelastic flows. Various partial dissipation will be considered. The second topic aims at the large-time behavior problem on the Navier-Stokes equations with only partial dissipation. This problem is not well-understood. Physically relevant explicit solutions with various large-time behavior will be present. The third topic covers the stability problem on the magneto-hydrodynamic equations with anisotropic regularization.
