
The Schrödinger-Poisson equation in the semi classical limit

摘要: This set of lectures will discuss the semi classical limit, which offers a derivation of a kinetic equation, namely the Vlasov-Poisson equation, from dispersive quantum dynamics with a Planck constant scaling. Various techniques from semi classical analysis have developed within the course of the last decades to properly justify this limit including: WKB approximation, Wigner and Husimi transforms, modulated energy and more recently quantum optimal transport by Golse et al. The main objective of the course would be to give an introduction to some of these methods in the context of the Schrödinger-Poisson equation.
报告人简介:Immanuel Ben Porat received his PhD under the supervision of Francois Golse from Ecole Polytechnic. Then he held a postdoc position at Oxford University where he was mentored by Jose Carrillo and Gui-Qiang Chen. Currently he is a postdoctoral research assistant at university of Basel. His are of speciality are semi-classical analysis, mean field limits and kinetic PDEs.
