报告摘要
SPAGEO is a virtual environment developed as part of multidisciplinary research on spatial orientation teaching and learning, the results of which have confirmed the value of such an environment in the classroom. In this conference I will briefly present the project that has been experimented over three years in grades 2, 3 and 4 with a cohort of 100 pupils in 2 schools in Geneva, and then focus on our most recent concerns. Indeed our new objective is now to adapt its ergonomics for use in mainstream classrooms with mainstream teachers. In particular I will present our current reflection on the adaptations that need to be made to support teachers in assessing pupils’ activity in such an environment.
主讲人简介
Prof. Jean-Luc Dorier is a Full Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Geneva. His research spans more than three decades and addresses key issues in mathematics education, including inquiry-based learning, mathematical problem solving, formative assessment, and the development of number and algebraic thinking. He is especially well known for his influential work on the teaching and learning of linear algebra, which integrates historical, epistemological, and didactical perspectives to illuminate students' conceptual difficulties and the evolution of algebraic ideas.
He has played major leadership roles in the international community, serving on the Executive Committee of the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI) and participating in scientific committees for EMF, CERME, and ICMI Studies. He also led the Swiss contribution to the EU-funded PRIMAS project, which promoted inquiry-based learning across Europe. An experienced and dedicated teacher educator, Prof. Dorier has trained generations of primary and secondary teachers, bridging theoretical insights with classroom practice.
