报告摘要
The theory of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), developed in the Netherlands since the 1960s, has become widespread, with modeling real-world problem situations as a key characteristic. However, it has been criticized. Also, one might wonder how the RME principles work out or ask for adaptation for the case of contemporary technology-rich mathematics education. A realistic view will be promoted, in which mathematics being meaningful, and making sense to students, is a core idea, and in which digital tools may support sense-making, also from the perspective of embodiment.
