In this talk we will concentrate on the co-rotational Beris-Edwards Q-tensor system which describes the hydrodynamic motion of nematic liquid crystals. After a brief introduction to the background, we will demostrate the construction of suitable weak solutions with either Landau-De Gennes bulk potential in $\mathbb{R}^3$ or Ball-Majumdar bulk potential in $\mathbb{T}^3$. Then we will show that these solutions are smooth away from an 1-dimensional parabolic Hausdorff measure zero set. This is a joint work with Xianpeng Hu (City UHK) and Changyou Wang (Purdue).
