In this talk, I will mention a conjecture on the existence of nilpotent Hall subgroups
from the trivial intersection of blocks of finite groups. This is based on recent results of Professors Christine Bessenrodt and Jiping Zhang. In addition, I will mention some conjectures and problems on Hilbert divisors of Brauer characters, hoping that there will be more and more young students getting involved in attacking them.
