报告摘要
The notion of categorification is introduced by Igor Frenkel aiming to lift Witten-Reshetikhin-Turaev 3D TQFT to 4D via canonical bases of quantum groups. It is bridging representation theory and low dimensional topology. The celebrating example is Khovanov homology which provides a categorification of the Jones polynomial. We will give a brief introduction on Khovanov homology, and mention some applications in topology.
