This short course provides an introduction to the theory of critical points at infinity. We will discuss how Morse theory and Conley index theory can be employed to tackle non-compact variational problems. The course will cover the basic concepts, key technical tools, and recent advances in the field. By the end of the course, participants will gain a foundational understanding of how to analyze blow-up phenomena and compute topological invariants arising from critical points at infinity.
主讲人简介
Mohameden Ahmedou,现为德国吉森大学数学系教授,博士研究生导师,研究兴趣主要集中在 偏微分方程(PDEs)、非线性分析、变分法、微分几何和数学物理等领域。迄今在国际期刊 Duke Math J., JEMS, Ann. I. H. Poincaré-AN, IMRN, Ann. Sc. Norm. Super. Pisa Cl. Sci., J. Funct. Anal, Calc. Var. Partial Differential Equations, J. Differential Equations等发表论文40余篇。
