报告摘要
In this talk we consider a new interpolation method for the Müntz polynomials, which are extension of the classical polynomials. Based on the sample space spanned by the Müntz polynomials, we discuss the so-called empirical interpolation method to generate the interpolation points and basis functions. The efficiency of the proposed method are verified through carefully examining the approximation properties of some classes of singular functions. The applicability of the new interpolation method is demonstrated by numerically solving some kind of integro-differential equations having limited regularity.
主讲人简介
许传炬,厦门大学数学科学学院特聘教授,博士生导师。1986年厦门大学本科,1989年巴黎南大学硕士,1993年巴黎第六大学博士。研究领域包括: 计算流体谱元法, 相场模型及其算法,分数阶偏微分/积分方程理论和数值计算等。现担任Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, Communications on Applied Mathematics and Computation, SIAM Journal of Scientific Computing 等多个专业期刊的编委。
