I will discuss a new approach to boundary regularity of optimal transport maps (for the quadratic cost) on convex domains based on ideas from geometric regularity theory and a new monotonicity formula. As an application I will highlight some applications of these ideas to global regularity for non-degenerate densities. This is joint work with Freid Tong.
