报告摘要
The classification of finite simple groups (CFSG) plays a prominent role in the study of highly symmetric combinatorial configurations. In this talk, I will report on some applications of CFSG to finite geometric structures that satisfy certain transitivity assumption. By weakening assumptions on symmetry, we can not explore the strength of CSFG at a certain point. We then discuss about some attempts to introduce algebraic tools from number theory and representation theory into the construction and classification of important geometric structures.
主讲人简介
冯涛，浙江大学数学科学学院教授，博士生导师。2008年博士毕业于北京大学数学科学学院，先后在新加坡南洋理工大学、美国特拉华大学做博士后，2011年8月加入浙大数学科学学院。现为SCI期刊Journal of Combinatorial Designs和Designs, Codes and Cryptography编委会成员
