In this talk, I will discuss a recent joint work with Yuxiang Li and Qingyue Wu on prescribing curvature on compact surfaces with isolated singularities. For the generalized Nirenberg’s problem, we have an existence and uniqueness result for negative curvature with possible cusp type singularities, for the positive curvature case, we have a nonexistence statement.
