In this talk, we first present some recent well-posedness results for the inhomogeneous Navier-Stokes equations in the presence of vaccum. In particular, we will introduce our complete resolution to Lions's density patch problem "the regularity of the desnity patch is preserved by the time evolution of Lions's weak solution in dimension 2".
