We give an introduction to the mathematical study of resonances in the relativistic setting.
Recent results on spectral and scattering properties for perturbed Dirac operators are presented, addressing the existence of resonances, lower and upper bounds, etc. In particular, we present a new Poisson wave trace formula for Dirac resonances at spectrum edges with applications to existence of resonances.
