报告摘要
Biological dispersal refers to as the movement of individuals from one area to another, which is an ecologically and evolutionarily important process shaping global biodiversity patterns. The density-dependent dispersal means the dispersal of one species depends on the density of others, in contrast to the random dispersal where species diffuse randomly without influence from other species or ambient environment. Among other things, in this talk, we shall discuss how the density-dependent dispersal, as a non-random dispersal strategy, may have profound effects on population dynamics in various biological processes and produce prominent consequences than the random dispersal.
