报告摘要
The professional noticing of mathematics teachers is an indispensable part of teachers’ competence reflecting situation-specific skills, such as perception, interpretation and decision-making, which are needed in the daily performance of teachers. A high number of empirical studies on teacher noticing in the field of mathematics education has been developed in the last two decades reflecting a variety of different perspectives.
In the talk, a description of the current state-of-the-art on noticing in mathematics education will be given based on recent literature surveys published in the field with a specific focus on different perspectives on noticing and results of empirical studies on the promotion of noticing with pre- and in-service teachers. Cultural influences on teacher noticing will be discussed referring amongst others to own comparative studies in China, Germany, and Chile. The talk will close with an outlook on possible further developments on teacher’ professional noticing.
